The Retired Police Association of the State of New York, Inc. (RPA) has served retired New York police officers since 1950. RPA brings together retired officers from police departments throughout New York State to provide advocacy, retirement information, member benefits and a strong statewide community that continues long after active service ends.

If you were an RPA member before the new website launched, your existing membership was moved into the new RPA system.

Did You and Your Spouse Share One Email Address?
RPA's previous membership system allowed a husband, wife or other members of the same household to share one email address.
The new system requires each member to have their own unique email address. Shared legacy email addresses therefore could not be assigned to both membership accounts when RPA moved to the new system.
If your old shared email is not recognized, your membership has not been lost and you should not apply again.

RPA membership is available to eligible retired police officers who served in police departments within New York State.
Your current residence does not determine eligibility. Retired New York officers remain part of the RPA community whether they now live in New York, Florida, the Carolinas, or elsewhere.

The Retired Police Association of the State of New York, Inc. is a statewide membership organization for eligible retired police officers who served in New York State. RPA membership is not limited to retirees from one city, town, county or police department. Members represent hundreds of New York police departments and continue their RPA membership wherever retirement takes them.

Some RPA membership classifications require assistance from the RPA office rather than a standard online application.

Two Ways to Pay Your RPA Membership Dues
New regular members can choose the payment arrangement that works best for them.
Auto Pay
Authorize RPA to automatically charge your approved payment method when future annual membership dues become due.
Manual Payment
Pay your dues yourself each year when your renewal is due. You may still pay online by credit card. Nothing is automatically charged.
