RPA membership is available to eligible retired police officers who served in New York State. Getting started is simple: confirm your eligibility, then choose how you would like to handle your annual membership dues.

Did You and Your Spouse Share One Email Address With RPA?

RPA's previous membership system allowed the same email address to be used for more than one member, such as a husband and wife sharing one household email address.

The new membership system requires each member to have their own unique email address. Because of this, shared legacy email addresses could not be assigned to both memberships when records were moved into the new system.

If you and your spouse previously shared an email address, the password-reset system may not recognize that old email address. Your membership has not been lost.

Please DO NOT apply again. Call the RPA office at (516) 294-4488 so we can update the memberships with separate email addresses and help you access your accounts.

Regular membership is intended for eligible retired police officers who served in police departments within New York State.

Where you served matters. You do not have to currently live in New York.

Both options provide the same Regular RPA membership. The difference is simply how your future annual dues are paid.

Choose Auto Pay if you want RPA to automatically charge your authorized payment method when your annual membership dues are due.

Your annual membership dues are charged automatically when your renewal is due.
You do not have to remember to make a separate payment each year.
You specifically authorize recurring payments when selecting this option.
Auto Pay can be turned off later.

Manual Payment

Pay Your Dues Each Year

Choose Manual Payment if you prefer to decide how to pay your membership dues each year when your renewal becomes due.

Pay online by credit card when your renewal is due.
You may also use another payment method accepted by RPA.
Nothing is automatically charged.
You remain in control of each annual payment.

Important: Paying your dues once by credit card does not enroll you in Auto Pay. Automatic recurring charges occur only when you specifically select and authorize the Auto Pay option.
